• Assisted in 8 circumcisions, 20 infant hearing screens, as well as discharging 15 patients in an environment beyond the primary scope of a medical assistant.

OB/GYN

•  Gave care to over 400 patients a month which included triaging, ordering labs and assisting providers in administering over 80 contraception procedures, which ultimately led to a decrease in unplanned pregnancies in the Camp Lejeune area.
• Expertly led the OBGYN clinic through 2 safety inspections with zero discrepancies.
• Trained 10 new staff members on the safety protocols of the clinic and ensured the entire clinic's training records were compliant with updated safety sheets when OBGYN moved to new spaces.
• These accomplishments as Safety representative led to a safer environment for staff and patients and ultimately contributed to the hospital's success during the Joint Commission Survey.
• Co-facilitated Centering class with 7 patients for 10 sessions that led to group patient care and more education throughout their entire pregnancy.
• Assisted with several other classes that were not my own which helped contribute to continuous patient care.
• Worked as a front desk clerk scheduling over 250 appointments, ordering labs and medications for patients and solving any issues or complaints.
