As the Assistant Athletic Director at Christian Academy of Louisville, I have many responsibilities within our athletic department. One of my main responsibilities is facilitating the our advertisement program, which is a critical fundraiser for our department. I work with businesses to procure sponsorships that allow us to raise money to help the department operate. I also oversee all of the uniform & equipment purchasing and storage for the department, as well as manage our fundraising efforts. My game day responsibilities included supervising home athletic contests, relaying information to fans & media via our social media platforms and assisting wherever needed throughout the event. We are fortunate enough to be growing as an athletic department, which means increasing responsibilities for me in the future as well!
I have been a member of the Christian Academy of Louisville football staff since the 2013 football season. In that time, I have helped develop and implement an offense that has allowed Christian Academy to win 4 state championships as well as produce multiple collegiate athletes. My job is to coach the players in my position group within the scheme of the offense, and help set them up to be successful on the field. This requires film study, coming up with impactful practice plans, and being a great mentor to the young men I coach.
The Assistant Athletic Director position at Christian Academy of Indiana came with plenty of job responsibilities. My main focus was scheduling. I was in charge of scheduling games for all of our High School, Middle School, and elementary aged sports. This included scheduling officials, game day workers, and team transportation for away games. I was also in charge of hiring and training all of the game day workers we used within the department. Along with my scheduling duties, I also helped out with other areas of the department such as community relations, media relations, social media, game day operations, as well as many other areas that helped make our department successful!
As the head baseball coach at Christian Academy of Indiana, I was in charge of all operations within the high school baseball program. During the off season, I developed and implemented a strength and conditioning program for the players to help prepare them for the season. When the season began, my main responsibility was running efficient practices and handling game day operations. This included setting the line up, managing the pitching staff and doing everything I could to put the athletes in the best position to succeed on the field.
As the Game Manager, I was in charge of all game day operations responsibilities for games I was assigned to work. This included tasks such as setting up fields & courts for play, assisting visiting teams & referees, monitoring the crowd while the game was in progress, and tearing down equipment post game and making sure it was stored properly.
I am a consistent, hardworking and highly motivated person who is seeking to transition out of my current work field. I enjoy working with the public and meeting new people. My experience working in the field of athletics has developed me into a goal oriented worker with great teamwork skills and the ability to work in a fast paced enviornment. I seek out opportunities to learn new things that will help me excel in my position and contribute to my overall growth in my work life.
