- During reset season we are responsible for resetting 70% of Dollar General stores planograms. Being a master merchandiser if it is a group project I am normally made lead. I also train all new hires in our area to help out the District Manager. During the resets it is our responsibility to read the planogram set all new shelves or hooks, remove all old pricing and discard, clean all shelves and work area, return product back to shelves/hooks and then stock all new products in new planograms. Reoccurring monthly projects that we do for Dollar Generals, CVS, Walmart, Circle Ks, etc are prepaid cellphone services/gift card audits and reorders, Movies U Buy audits and resupply, air filter restocking. We also started doing quarterly audits for Dollar General using handheld scanners counting their outs and doing safety audits. I have set up about 25-30 new Dollar Generals and have done about 40 remodels. I have traveled all the way to New York for Driveline. I love my job and what we do! Each year the planograms we do for Walmart change depending on who got the bid. I have done 15-20 cookie/cracker Mondelez and in the cooler section I have done ice cream and pizza.
