Please, just call me Meg! What you're not seeing in this resume of work history, key words and lists of accomplishments is the non-traditional route that makes me, me. I am an ideal candidate because my parents raised me to have a work ethic. Something upcoming generations seem to have lost sight of. I didn't have opportunities handed to me. In fact, I often had my back up against the wall. But, I learned to just keep going. I learned to zig when I couldn't zag anymore and I rose above when I was being challenged, both personally and professionally. One of my biggest accomplishments is being voted best personality in high school almost twenty years ago because being a good person isn't something you can fake. I strive to lead with compassion and even all these years later, I find myself leaning into my earliest work experience as a hair stylist in a little New Jersey salon. I am not for every company, but when it is the right fit, skies the limit.
* In 2024, I am rebranding and relaunching my personal blog, called A Walking Catastrophe.
* I went back to school in my twenties only to realize I didn't even know what a Power Point was. I learned.
* I was chosen to spend two weeks in Birmingham, AL to mentor a small business. I learned more from them, then them from me.
* I ran (and walked) a half marathon when I was 4 months pregnant.
* I have a talent for finding drug store dupes to replace high end make up fan favorites.
* I am a single Mom of two and there has never been a bigger motivation driver.
* I am not always the fastest learner, but when I get it, no one will do it better.
* In a digital world, I still prefer pen to paper and can't stop making lists.
* My four best friends, have known me since kindergarten. Nothing like having people the really KNOW you.
