I started playing the violin when I was about 6 years old, inspired by my older brother who plays the bass and guitar. I followed his footsteps and joined the mariachi he was in. Violin helps me connect to my culture while providing various opportunities. I've played at birthdays, weddings, and even the famous mariachi plaza! It has helped me lose the fear of stage presence from a very young age and years later it is something I still find myself drawn to.
