Through a scenario based approach and teaching from years of experience and a deep knowledge base of emergency medicine, I lead the paramedic students at becoming educated and proficient in their assessment and skills at treating sick and injured patients in an emergency setting.

Solo ALS provider providing patient care in both the 911 and IFT settings in the Windsor and Healdsburg areas.

Solo ALS provider on a 911 ambulance in a rural part of Northern Sonoma County with extended transport times by ground to all hospitals. I served as the CQI representative for the district and provided EMS related trainings to our local fire personnel.

Performed paramedic expanded scope of practice procedures while working side by side with a flight nurse in both the scene call and IFT environments of flight and ground CCT transports. I completed over 1,500 patient transports. I held the FP-C certification with the BCCTPC. I was trained in and regularly practiced NVG usage and procedures during flight, as well as emergency aircraft safety procedures. I properly utilized aircraft radios and navigation tools to assist in the safe and efficient transport of patients. I successfully gained Crew Chief status in the Bell 407, Augusta 109 and EC 135 aircrafts. I was the primary demo and public relations coordinator for over 6 years, as well as organized and instructed several EMS related classes to local EMS and Fire Service Providers.
