• Temp to permanent position building the microbiology department for a new facility; all aspects of quality control, quality assurance, quality improvement, reading cultures, inventory, specimen processing and collection.

• Employed from May, 2008 to January 2009 at Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, SC as a Microbiology consultant to rewrite procedures, mentor new team leader, prepare for and ensure successful CAP Inspection by creating policies and procedures, updating existing testing procedures, developing a Quality Management Program for Microbiology and developing QI/QA monitors.

• Temporary traveling position (13 weeks); worked in all areas of lab, including micro., phlebotomy; taught eight (8) CNA's to draw blood

• Supervised five (5) FTEs; created antibiogram; worked on all micro benches; verification of new tests; QA/QI duties; updated antibiotics to follow CLSI standards for reporting

• Worked as temp in Pediatric Immunology Laboratory at Duke University measuring quantitative proteins and updating computer files.

• Re-entered work force after taking time off to be with family; worked in clinical microbiology performing routine micro testing, serology, gram stains, blood cultures, training medical students, residents, interns and medical technology students

• Supervised six (6) FTEs, computerization of lab, in charge of lab renovation, negotiated contracts for supplies, purchased new chemistry and hematology analyzers, safety officer for practice— large POL with thirteen (13) caregivers; excellent phlebotomy skills; trained phlebotomists and performed difficult draws

• Micro tech with serology duties; read and processed all types of cultures; worked with SunQuest, MicroScan WalkAway SI and BacTec
• Performed routine parasitology with permanent stains; excellent phlebotomy skills

Program now closed: Provided assistance to Health Departments for complying with CLIA regulations, training individuals without lab experience in conducting lab tests, and delivering OSHA and safety training
