- Inspect glass, pack glass, and set up the racks per the packing specifications.
- Help train the new hires who come through our department. I explain all the different types of defects in the glass. I explain the SOPs and show them how to read the packing specifications papers. I show them how to properly pack glass, how to strap up racks, and how to do the paperwork.
- I also go above and beyond to help out and be a team player to make sure we hit the shipment.
- I fill in for our forklift driver when she is not there.
- I print tickets, enter paperwork into Cortex, scan racks into location and do book out at the end of the shift
- I have gone down to the end of the furnace lines and did quality work.
