Assisted in organizing community events to foster local engagement and participation, throughout Far Rockaway. Collaborated with other mom and pops shops to brainstorm innovative ideas for enhancing community involvement. Created spaces where the community can feel safe, have fun and get the necessities they need; We gave away food, water, clothes and had organizations show up to help the community job search.

In a cohort of 15 girls from different parts of the United States interested in STEM education, policy, advocacy and more. We met virtually throughout several months, chatting with each other, guest speakers from diverse STEM backgrounds, like Artificial Intelligence and NASA engineers. We hosted virtual town halls for other girls interested in STEM to hear from guest speakers and discover a sense of community in the sciences.
