The Visual Merchandising Coordinator will be responsible for the development and management of visual merchandising programs to help maximize Black Diamond brand awareness, product sales and profitability via Black Diamond retail stores. Responsible for the marketing components of POP and retail visual marketing.
  
The Visual Merchandising Coordinator will create and maintain a close partnership with a diverse team that includes the Black Diamond Marketing Department, Black Diamond Retail Store, Sales Department, Climb/Ski/Mountain Category Directors, retail partners, retail staff and outside agency partners.

* Develop and implement a comprehensive global Point of Purchase program.
* Oversee the floor set and visual standards for all stores.
* Coordinate and assist in the production of OR and SIA Tradeshow presentations.
* Coordinate and assist with new store openings in Utah and other states, if needed.
* Work directly with project coordination team and agency partners on the production of all Visual Merchandising POP items
* Coordinate in-store fixturing and presentation with store managers, in-store marketing to enhance visual perspective and traffic/flow and measure performance/effectiveness.
* Facilitate creative merchandising solutions that are commercially viable and offer a unique store experience.
* Participate in annual marketing planning process including, but not limited to preparation of seasonal Visual Merchandising plans.
* Participate in measurement of Visual Merchandising programs with monthly reporting.
* Work with Marketing Programs Manager on various retail marketing special projects as needed.
  
Requirements
  
Qualifications:

* Required: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
* Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Merchandising, Marketing, or Business.
  
Work Experience: 

* Required: 2 years in a corporate marketing, retail sales or visual merchandising.
  
Required Skills & General Experience:

* Working knowledge of retail environment, including operations-logistics, marketing and management. 
* Ability to work effectively across disciplines and maintain excellent communication and time management skills.
* Strong budget management experience.
* Forward thinking perspective yet flexible to change priorities.
* High degree of organizational skills, project management skills, attention to detail, and scheduling ability required. 
* Demonstrated ability to work with and positively influence a broad and diverse group toward achieving a mutually agreed upon goal. 
* Should have a positive, energetic working style.
* Excellent customer relation skills, knowledge of POS systems, typing, tradeshow, sell-in sales collateral production, merchandising, product knowledge, knowledge of and/or participation in climbing, backcountry skiing and mountaineering.
  
Required licenses: Driver's License & ability to travel.
  
Physical Requirements:

* General physical requirements: Sedentary work and Travel.
* Visual acuity requirements: Close, Color, Depth Perception, Ability to adjust focus.
* Motion and sensory requirements: Reaching, Typing, Talking, Hearing, Sitting.
* Physical working conditions: Inside environment. Noise, vibration, oils, hazardous materials.
