While working continuously with Immigration and Customs from 1996 to 2019, I held the position of Detention Service Manager at Krome Detention from 2010 to 2019, and retired from service in August 2019.
My role as a DSM required me to monitor the PBNDS policy’s at the facility making sure they pass their yearly inspections.
As a Detention and Deportation officer within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Detention and Removal Operations, my duties were to serve as the expert on programs, administrative policies, and requirements for nationwide enforcement programs. Plans, direct and controls specific nationwide en programs. Makes field inspections to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, furnishes leadership and guidance to the field office.
As a Deportation Officer, my duties where working with detainees/ deporting them, assigned to the JPat team, working with their files and making sure all paperwork and medical paperwork goes with them as we placed them in ICE Air. Putting shackles and handcuffs.
Also worked with the Fugitive teams and the Marshals.
Aided in the execution of JPats missions.
