Originally from East Tennessee, I traveled to Martin to pursue a career in nursing. Nursing school began in 2021 at the University of Tennessee at Martin and expected to graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing May 4th, 2024. Motivated nursing student seeking a position in an dynamic healthcare setting where I can apply my clinical skills and contribute to patient care. I learn best by gaining experience through hands on skills and I have been educated in PPE. Actively have maintained BLS certification since 2018 and gained my child abuse certification through the Carl Perkins Center this past semester. During nursing school, I have developed a desire to work in Labor and Delivery, but am not going to limit myself to other areas of healthcare. I have always loved pediatrics and babies ,but any place that I am practicing skills and furthering my nursing career is a great place for me to be. Upon graduation, I will have completed 960 clinical hours through my nursing program on top of being a full time student. The hours consist of experience in the medical-surgical unit, assisted living facilities, emergency room, home health, mental health facilities, OR, PACU, ICU, and L&D. Prior to nursing school I acquired my CNA license in high school, shadowed nurses, and volunteered at my local hospital in the ER (Rhea Medical Center).
