NATURE OF WORK:
Technical and advanced clerical work in the receipt, storage and issuance of bus parts, tools, materials, and supplies in a public transportation system. Starts vehicle, checks and adjusts equipment for proper operating condition; inspects body of coach for unreported damage; checks the operation of the wheelchair lift; performs a pre-trip inspection. Proceeds to starting point of assigned route, checks time schedule and begins to board passengers at designated bus zones. Manually operates four-position door lever for both front and rear doors; issues transfers upon request, checks meter, and monthly transit passes.
