  • Studied the physiology of thermophilic archaea and bacteria in alkaline Yellowstone hot springs, including the use of multiple different types of incubations and assays
  • The study was done mainly using the novel technique of BONCAT along with FISH and Epifluorescent microscopy
  • This included the use of UV-Vis Spectrophotometry daily.
