  • Responsible for the development and oversight of the Law Enforcement Division’s $2.7 million annual budget.

  • Developed and implemented Operation Safe Streets. The goal/mission was to interdict impaired drivers before they made the decision to operate a motor vehicle. Arrest was not the purpose of this initiative. The program would find safe transportation for all these individuals.

  • Collaborated with the North Carolina ABC Commission as a member of the Governor’s underage drinking task force.
