Dear Hiring Team,
As a transformative leader, I have over 20 years of relative and deep experience in:
Change Management… using the ADKAR model, I’ve skillfully implemented large, wide-sweeping organizational and operational changes for Fortune 500 companies including, IBM, Ford Motor, Proctor & Gamble, Time Warner Cable, Spectrum Cable, Comcast Cable, and Specialized Bicycle Components.
Continuous Improvement… With an inherent knack for CI, and deep knowledge of Lean, The Shingo Model, Kaizen, and other CI programs, I’ve led my organization to all-time best in KPIs and financial performance at Specialized Bicycle Components, Comcast, Spectrum and more.
Employee development and engagement. The results I’ve delivered over the years start with an engaged and empowered team and a culture that supports growth and career development opportunities. My approach to delivering results begins with building stability (in the workforce), structure (around processes and total team alignment using the fundamentals of ISO), and scalability. One of the things I most enjoy in my work is mentoring team members and guiding them to further develop their skills and experiences. The customer experience. My Operational Excellence program includes three pillars; two of which I already covered. Continuous Improvement, Engaged and Empowered team members and the third is a focus on the customer experience and how our work in supply chain or manufacturing impacts the customer experience. Budgetary creation and achievement. I’ve been responsible for creating op-ex and cap-ex budgets in my roles with Schneider, Comcast, Spectrum, Specialized and more. Over the course of my career, I have consistently met budget. Specialized, for program year 2022, I led the best COGS achievement in the 20 years history of the Salt Lake City operation.
Other Key skills I possess include.
Project Management. All the CI projects I’ve delivered are skillfully lead using effective project management skills. I’ve practiced and honed this skill for over 20 years and, I’ve completed coursework in PM at the University of Memphis (Fall 2016)
Systems Implementation. I’ve been a key figure in the implementation of new tools and systems including Blue Yonder (Specialized), Netsuite (Sunpro/ADT Solar), SAP (Exel at P&G), and Oracle (several) programs including WMS, LMS, TMS and dispatch systems.
Start-up Operations. I’ve led start-up operations on several occasions in my career including, opening 7 new sites for IBM (1996), Ford/Schnieder partnership (2002) Circle K fuel division operations (2023) and functional start-ups including, ship to home bikes program at Specialized (2022) and direct to consumer shipping of cable equipment (Spectrum 2016).
Human Resources. In my 20+ years as a leader, I’ve been on the frontline working with HR. I’ve also completed coursework in HR operations at the University of Memphis (Fall 2015).
