Accomplishments

  • ACHIEVEMENT #1, My technical expertise on the M240B machine gun were vital during training as I assisted other soldiers during a qualification range and escalation of force training. I assisted my squad leader in training the soldiers so that 2nd platoon's primary gunners acted with precision and experience. I demonstrated impeccable use of escalation of force, which undoubtedly contributed to my platoon's safety during it's rotation at NTC.
  • ACHIEVEMENT #2, I demonstrated tremendous motivation and initiative which allowed myself to attend and pass the Army's Air Assault School prior to deployment as a PFC. I was one of only five PFC's in the battalion to earn the coveted badge. I showed dedication to duty by conducting instruction on slingload procedures which were critical to the unit's mission success. I showed selfless service by sharing the knowledge I acquired from Air Assault to my seniors and peers assuring mission success during OEF X1-X11.
  • ACHIEVEMENT #3, I was handpicked by the Platoon Sergeant to attend the Army's Improved Target Acquisition System (ITAS) course during the unit's NTC rotation, and performed all duties related to the operations of the TOW missile. My unrelenting focus to exceed the standards lead myself and my squad to win the Brigade's gun team competition prior to deployment.
  • ACHIEVEMENT #4, I distinguished myself as an outstanding marksman by qualifying expert with my assigned M240B, as well as other weapons including the M4, M249 S A W, and the M2 .50 caliber heavy machine gun. My sound tactical and technical expertise and can-do attitude lead myself to complete the Javelin Course, and the Wolfhound First Responders Course. I also demonstrated physical excellence, scoring a 300 in every APFT, and setting the perfect model for my fellow soldiers to emulate.
