Veteran Territory Manager and exceptional sales professional. Decisive team leader and business manager with excellent attention to detail and a persuasive communication style. Offering 20 plus years of experience in sales.
I came into this role with the plan to grow the current customer base. I work with a lot of customers that I had in my role with my previous employer. In the first year, I brought on 6 new accounts that they had not been able to get in the door with. That business is valued at $600,000.00 per year. In addition to that, I have helped grow existing customer business that has grown 35% in yearly revenue. My goal is, and always has been to call on 6-8 accounts daily and do cold calling on prospects as I find them.
I was promoted to this role after being successful in my prvious role as an Account Manager. In this role, my purpose was to grow the business for cryogenics within the territory assigned to me. That territory was Virginia and North Carolina. I was successful in converting cylinder business over to Micro Bulk or bulk business depending on volume. Contract management is a large part of this job and I was succesful in renewing business by way of excellent customer service and fair pricing.
I came into this role with the idea that I would grow the business within the Tidewater area of Virginia. When I took over this territory, it was doing 1.5 million dollars per year in business. Withing 4 years, I grew that territory to 4 million dollars per year. My main role was to service customers needs thru providing consistant service, looking for ways to improve the efficiency of how they perform the welding task in their shops. I used the Value Add method to increase our revenue as well as developing a cost savings plan in return for a contract. My relationships with customers grew to many of them becoming friends outside of work. I value the customer service aspect and enjoy working with vendors to help grow existing business.
As the Branch Manager, I was responsible for growing the revenue of the Newport News location. I managed a staff of 8 team members. My other responsibilities included monthly P&L for the branch, OSHA and Company safety policies. Also as the Branch Manager, I was the main POC for Newport New Shipyard and handled all the quotes and business for them as it related to the gas and welding needs.
I handled the counter sales for walk in traffic as well as took phone calls from customers. I quoted goods to customers, recommended the proper supplies to get the job done. I also passed on leads to the outside sales team when it looked like a prospect. I did inventory and shipping/recieving on a daily basis.
My responsibilty was to assist the Plant Manager in the daily operation of the plant. This involved setting up daily deliveries for our drivers and payroll for employees. I was the lead guy for ISO certification and all inspections as it related to the plant operation.
I started out as a Hydrostatic Cylinder tester and over time, worked the gas fill lines, drove local delivery trucks as well as long distance delivery between Plants.
