Coordinate Fire, Police, EMS, Public Works, and surrounding agencies during critical incidents or natural disasters, and commanded all 210 city employees from all departments and city officials. Web-master for the Police Department web page, Facebook, and X (Twitter) Accounts, which are maintained on a daily basis, including weekends or critical incidents. CPTED Advanced Certified (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) and Site Reviewer for planning and zoning building plans of all new business construction. Kept a detailed report of all the evidence kept for prosecution purposes, and once the defendant was adjudicated, all the appropriate affidavits were filed with the court of record to destroy the evidence as per law. Kept detailed reports of all asset forfeiture items seized from criminals and reported all to the United States Marshall’s Office and the District Attorney's Office for proper disposition or distribution as per the civil asset seizure settlements assigned by the courts of jurisdiction. I held the positions of K-9 Handler, SWAT Operator, Public Information Officer, Internal Affairs Investigator, Narcotics Investigator, Instructor, Training Coordinator, Patrol Sergeant, Patrol Lieutenant, Assistant Chief of Police, and Chief of Police. During my tenure as Assistant Chief of Police and Chief of Police, I modernized our camera surveillance system at all city buildings, including the Police Department. Access and security measures at all city buildings were revamped to ensure the safety of all employees and the citizens who conducted business there. A grant was sought out to bring in a new computer-assisted dispatch system that included all new backroom radios, portable radios, and in-car radios with a P-25 Trunking system. I was instrumental in purchasing and, as a project manager, helped build out a new mobile report writing system that became a test market for the future of policing. The successful utilization of iPads with the CAD system for the in-car report writing system took many meetings with Verizon, Apple, and Tyler Technologies, but it was launched and is now a very budget-conscious solution to report writing in the field and for investigations.
