- Perform a variety of testing using analytical chemistry and microbiological techniques on a variety of different matrices including; drinking water, wastewater, solid samples, ect
- Familiar with EPA rules, regulations, and reporting requirements
- Correspond with EPA and Clients to assure compliance of NPDES permits and notify of violations
- Familiar with EPA SW-846
- EPA certified for drinking water analysis in wet chemistry for: Ph, Total Phosphorus, Orthophosphate, Nitrite, Nitrate, TDS, Sulfate, Chloride, Alkalinity, Fluoride, Total Hardness, and Total Cyanide
- Train new employees and assign duties in wet chemistry and wastewater lab
- Look over and sign off on final results and Quality control data, input results into LIMS database, and report results to appropriate agency
- Perform all necessary quality control testing, including participating in a number of proficiency testing studies
- Familiar with a variety of instruments used for analyses; ic, icp, ise, ir, ect
- Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot all laboratory equipment and instrumentation
- Make up all media, buffer solutions, and chemical reagents as needed
- Order any additional supplies as needed
- Write and revise SOP's and QA documents as needed.
