Monitor machinery for various jobs to maintain compliance with manufacturing thresholds and waste reduction initiatives
Analyze and adjusted machine operations as needed for quality assurance
Conduct preventable maintenance and quickly resolved production problems to minimize downtime
Monitor and observe production line to watch for pileups and jams
Unload finished products from machines onto conveyors or other transport systems
Use synthetic materials, needles, cutting tools, dyes, and coloring solutions to develop fibers
Operate take-up machines to wind yarn, thread, or fabric onto bobbins or cones for subsequent processing
Adjust tension controls on take-up devices as needed to ensure proper winding
Place bobbins on spindles and inserted spindles into bobbin-winding machines
Observe machine operations continuously to detect problems or defects in material being wound
Perform minor maintenance on machines such as cleaning and lubrication
Ensure that appropriate safety precautions are taken while operating machinery
Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process
Calibrated machines to adhere to quality standards and maintain required productivity levels
Check product quality against specified standards at each stage of production process
Train new employee’s operation techniques and important business procedures.
