Stewardship means first you listen, then you ask, then you act. If what you are doing does not help at least one person beside yourself, is it worth doing?

Additional Information

  • My dad who was a small town insuranceman. Starting about 10 years old, my siblings and I would go to his office and answer the telephones on Saturday mornings and greeted customers who came through the door. We would also sit in the office and watch him interact with his customers. Probably the most important lesson I ever learned there was how to listen. I enjoy meeting the public face-to-face, listening to them to find out their needs, and then helping them make the right selection.
  • My dad was the county chairman for Red Cross for 30 years and my mother ran the bloodmobile for 20 years. They taught us that stewardship was more important than any other endeavor, and only through serving others could we truly learn how to lead.
  • I spent 17 years in the food and beverage industry. I worked and everything from busing tables, cooking, and 5 years as a bartender. I worked several years in factories loading and unloading trucks including Meredith Printing in Des Moines and Redneck trailer in Springfield. In hauling produce and non-produce items for 3 million miles, I loaded and unloaded hundreds of trailers.
  • I can be impatient with others who do not wish to participate in a shared activity I do not care to work with people who accept mediocrity as acceptable performance. I tend to get exasperated and frustrated without a challenge. I do not care to sit and wait for something to do.
  • Hard working

  • Honest
  • Dedicated
  • Motivated

  • Willing to help others with their issues without need for reward
