Viral Immunology Experience:

  • Assisted in optimizing the Foci-Reducing Neutralization Test pipeline at the Harris Lab by refining procedures for each of the four Dengue virus serotypes (DENV1-4) through its sister assay, the Foci-Forming Assay.
  • Assisted in the completion and analysis of 100+ neutralization assays performed in conjunction with ongoing research to study DENV antibody repertoire.
  • Performed data analysis on recombinant antigen constructs utilizing luminex platform to measure antibody binding of pediatric serum samples.

Protein Design & Production Experience:

  • Designed recombinant antigen constructs of both the envelope protein and pr proteins for 6 different flaviviruses including: DENV1-4, ZIKV, and SPOV.
  • Produced and purified over 9 different protein constructs as part of ongoing research to study antigen-specific antibody repertoire against different flaviviruses.
  • Recorded and analyzed the results of my work into reports that were reviewed and discussed with my mentors in regular bi-weekly meetings as well as actively encouraged and suggested the next steps for my work.
