Responsible for coordinating and conducting the recruitment, screening, interview, and back- ground process on candidates for positions within the Sheriff’s Office. Works in partnership with Human Resources, plans and develops appropriate job-related interviews, oral panels and assessments
Specific duties include:
Responsible for training new academy recruits as well as seasoned veterans and to provide instruction in academic subjects such as law, cultural diversity, use of force, CPR, interpersonal communications, as well as hands-on applications including fire emergencies and supervisor training. Also responsible for remaining up to date on legal bulletins, newest tactics and latest trends in law enforcement techniques, practices, and technology.
