Work and serve as a bridge between health information management and clinical staff especially physicians; providing a link between documentation and patient care at Baylor Scott & White facilities throughout the state of Texas.
Duties include but are not limited to auditing of entire medical records, maintenance of DRG worksheets, querying physicians for accurate documentation and education of physicians and other staff members.
Requirements include significant knowledge of Medicare & private insurance guidelines, knowledge of disease processes with background of clinical management experience, understanding of classification and coding systems including ICD-10, use of software to collect and store data as well as internet skills.
