Dear Hiring Manager,

I am excited to apply for a childcare position because I am passionate about supporting children’s growth through engaging, structured, and creative learning experiences.

I have hands-on experience working with children through both professional internship work and caregiving, where I developed strong skills in supporting learning, managing behavior, and helping children stay engaged in structured environments. This has given me experience creating routines, guiding group activities, and supporting children’s emotional and developmental needs in a patient and consistent way.

As an intern at Brain Balance, I worked directly with children and teens, including those with developmental and behavioral disabilities. My responsibilities included assisting with structured activities, supporting behavior and emotional regulation, and helping prepare learning stations. I also handled front desk and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, sending emails, making copies, assisting with check-ins and logins, maintaining logs, and supporting general cleaning and organization of the workspace. This experience strengthened my patience, adaptability, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a structured, fast-paced environment while supporting both students and staff.

I genuinely enjoy working with children and find it rewarding to help them learn, grow, and build confidence. I aim to create a positive and supportive environment where children feel safe, encouraged, and engaged through creative play, movement-based activities, and hands-on learning experiences. My interests in exercise, science, art, language learning, storytelling, and self-improvement allow me to design interactive activities such as hands-on experiments, movement-based learning, journaling and storytelling projects, art activities, sensory learning, and introductory exposure to Spanish and American Sign Language.

I am currently enrolled at Victor Valley College pursuing an Associate Degree and have availability during daytime hours. I am reliable, flexible, and able to work mornings, afternoons, or a combination depending on the needs of the position.

I would welcome the opportunity to contribute to your team and support children in a safe, structured, and positive environment. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to speaking with you further.

Sincerely,
Michelle Benedum
