Help set up and tear down the program's materials, keep the space clean overall, and keep the attendance up-to-date. After set-up, I interact with the participants by encouraging them to continue working on the main art project the quarter is focusing on, and help people gather materials if they are unable to.

Once a week, I run a program where people with disabilities are able to spend time together watching a movie. I set up the tables, chairs, and snacks, alongside ensuring the DVD player is able to run the movie. Then I clean up the supplies used and make sure that people's rides are coming to pick them up.

I help run a weekly gathering of participants who face developmental or physical disabilities. I ensure people stay within our given room, help pass around snacks, solve any issue that arises, and help make sure people get on their correct ride home.

I help run an after-school program, where I am typically in charge of 2 staff members and 20 or more children. I have to manage daily problems with behavior and ensure the children are as safe as possible. When problems do occur, I also communicate with parents to ensure the child can be as successful as possible.

The camp had 60-80 campers a week, and I mainly worked with a group of 20 kids with a co-counselor. We ensured that the children were as safe as they could be and engaged with what our activities were. I resolved different conflicts between campers and led a variety of activities throughout the day.

One week in April is dedicated to running a camp during spring break. As a co-director, I manage a group of five counselors and a group of 24 campers. I make sure that all of the needed materials are present, lead activities, and manage parent pick-up. If a child is having behavioral issues, I discuss with my fellow co-director and supervisor about what would be the best next step and act accordingly.

One week of February is dedicated to running an additional camp for students of the Kent School District. I was both in charge of parent pick-ups and parent drop-offs on different days, managed four counselors, and worked with a group of 24 children. I coordinated daily schedules and activities, and encouraged counselors to lead and gave feedback for improvement. I handled multiple children's behavioral issues and encouraged campers to try new activities.

One week every December, Kent Parks runs a camp during winter break. As a counselor, I directly interact with each of the campers and help lead activities when needed. I helped clean up the room each day, made sure the campers were safe, and kept my co-directors informed about issues that may harm the campers’ experience.
