
Energetic Emergency Medical Technician Basic responds to dispatch instructions and drives emergency vehicle to specified locations to administer life support in pre-hospital settings. Assesses nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritize medical procedures. Self-motivated in providing highest quality care with desire to learn and succeed.
Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to the RN. Responsibilities include but not limited to vital signs, weights, assisting patients with personal care and activities of daily living, patient transfers/transport, pulse oximetry, point of care testing, application of external monitoring devices, and further technical skills of phlebotomy, cleaning dressing changes, 12-lead ECG's, and insertion of urinary Foley Catheters. Strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients ans staff. Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Follow standard precautions using PPE as required.
