Determine all clients eligibility for WIC services per WIC program regulations, enter personal data into the computer, enter any alerts needed for each client, determine if clients need other services available to them, explain and make sure all clients understand and are comfortable using their WIC benefits, help clients activate their EWIC cards before leaving the office, mail cards and benefit packages to clients if need be, run missed appointment letters and mail to clients, make reminder phone calls to individuals that have missed their appointments, scan prescriptions into the system and notify the nutritionist, perform required mini education lessons to clients and document them in the system, refer clients with medical and nutrition concerns to the nutritionist, schedule and coordinate appointments for clients, complete referrals from other departments for clients in need of WIC, refer clients to other departments if need be, weigh and measure pregnant, and breastfeeding mothers, children and babies. Test the hemoglobin of women and children, wipe down office and other areas throughout the day to assure environment is sanitized. Help coworkers out whenever and however needed.
