  • Responsible for managing the daily operating procedures of our program including staff assignments, surgery reviews, and consultations with management of surgical staff.
  • Introduce new departmental policies and orient staff to facilitate adoption of changes.
  • Coordinated with nurse manager to develop programs targeting nurse education, overall departmental competencies, individual performance, patient safety and service-related issues.
  • Worked on numerous computer programs; including Microsoft office for the 14 years I was Clinical Manager, working with IT on continuous updates through changes with our system due to HIPPA. Used programs for employee time entry I was responsible for and created power point presentations for hospital administration. All data was created on Excel spread sheets and had to be kept very private, downloaded.
  • Completed calculations monthly doing configurations on heart machines that displayed the coagulation of a patients blood during open heart procedures for 4 years. Used a separate machine for blood gas configurations during open heart as well. Both machines had to be Calibrated monthly to ensure accuracy. Testing is kept for 10 years in case problem arose in patient or hospital audit. I am very aware of computer IT influence in the healthcare setting and other business processes as well.
  • Completed training on Auto-transfusion and Anesthesia Technician.
  • Lastly, I assisted in IT with video equipment for all video in Minimally Invasive Procedures. I did this for 15 years. Laparoscopic procedures are becoming more popular every day with minimal risk of infection rate.

  • There is a gap in my employment due to a Cervical Spine Fusion. Physician also found an egg-sized mass in my Right Thyroid. I had to have very invasive surgery to remove the mass and for the fusion of the Cervical spine
