Dedicated administrative professional with successful experience in fast-paced office settings. Hardworking team player with expertise in completing various tasks and offering staff support. Responsible and productive professional when working with little to no supervision.
I am the litigation support specialist in the Branch Office for the Northern District of Iowa located in Sioux City, Iowa. In this role, I handle all automated litigation support requests for the branch, including creating Trial Director cases; synchronizing transcripts with audio/video; editing and creating audio/video clips; processing evidence through NUIX, Eclipse, and Relativity; creating trial exhibits; providing training for legal assistants and AUSAs and trouble-shooting any issues they may have with discovery processing and review. I have also participated in residential training at the National Advocacy Center, both as a presenter, as well as a floater, for Trial Director and NUIX. About twice a month I participate as a floater in OLE's virtual classroom, covering subjects such as Eclipse, Cellebrite, and Trial Director. As a member of our district's eLitigation Committee, I am instrumental in implementing office policy and procedure regarding upcoming eLit projects such as EZmanager, NetDocs, Evidence.Com, and Everlaw. Over the course of my 34 years with the Department, I have been a Legal Assistant, an Administrative Services Specialist and a Civil Paralegal. Currently my collateral duties include: criminal paralegal, wherein I write all the Section 2255 briefs for the branch office; I am the branch Systems Manager maintaining/troubleshooting all IT equipment and applying application and tech bulletins, alleviating the need for our SM to travel to the branch office; I am also the Grand Jury Coordinator and the acting Security Officer.
