Accomplished Store Manager seeking new challenges and an organization to grow with. Passionate about building and maintaining strong employee relations and process improvement. Adept in exceptional problem-solving and team leadership. Thriving to learn a new business inside-out, and to add to the growth and success of an established enterprise.
This was my first opportunity to manage an operation on my own. Throughout this time, our department achieved monthly revenue and production goals for nearly 2 years straight until Covid-19. I learned a great deal about the financial overview of the store's operations, labor management, became experienced in working with outside partners, and strengthened my communication. We ranked #1 in growth for the year of 2018, and well into 2019 - out of 30 Brick and Mortar locations.
This was my first opportunity to demonstrate my managerial skills. I gained a lot of experience during this time in working with our ambassadors to create a fun, productive, and high-performing operation. I moved into a store that was ranked #28 out of 30 stores and not performing well. Within two weeks of my arrival, the store began to make revenue and production goals - and continued to do so monthly for the next two years. I was recognized by the Executive Leadership for turning around a problematic operation and received Ambassador of the Year in 2019 (out of 1250+ employees).
During my experience as Assistant Manager, I gained experience in some of the more difficult managerial responsibilities: I learned to effectively manage and promote employees, how to address major employee relations issues and investigations, and how to effectively discipline and terminate employees.
I was promoted to Supervisor with no management experience after demonstrating a high-level of proficiency in my role as a lead production associate. I learned a lot about people in my time as a Supervisor. I learned about the strengths and weaknesses of individuals, and that it is essential to put people first in any operation that you wish to be successful. I learned how to build trust with my fellow peers and subordinates. I learned how to effectively communicate goals and changes within the workplace. I also learned through experience and was challenged at times with problem solving and building upon stronger interpersonal skills.
Through my experience as a Supervisor, I built a resilience for multi-tasking, stronger communication, and how to deal with some of the more stressful situations in managing an operation and dozens of employees.
This was a line level position with GISD. I strove to learn everything that I could and desired to be cross-trained. I worked whatever overtime was available and aspired for professional growth. After my first year, I was promoted to Processor II (lead production associate). I learned how to monitor performance and communicate goals effectively while in this position.
