Community Education Councils (CEC) are education policy advisory bodies responsible for, among other things, reviewing and evaluating their district’s educational programs, approving zoning lines and holding public hearings on certain matters.

• Assistant Integrity Control Officer - At the borough and precinct levels, in varying degrees, Precinct Commanders, Integrity Control Officers (“ICOs”) and Borough Investigations Units³ are responsible for developing strategies to identify and deal with problem officers and locations, and for investigating certain types of alleged misconduct that are determined,not to warrant an investigation by The Internal Affairs Bureau.
