I want to start by emphasizing my commitment to achieving my goals. At 17, during the COVID-19 pandemic, I made the difficult decision to drop out of school. For the next two years, I worked in roofing and construction, but I eventually had an epiphany about my future. Realizing I was far from my aspirations, I took action and earned my GED in just under five months, achieving a GPA of 2.8 solely based on my grades.
Now, I’m pursuing my dream of becoming a software or web developer—I’m still deciding which path to take. Currently, I’m in college and proud to say I have maintained straight A’s as of midterms. This journey reflects my resilience and determination to turn my vision into reality.
