New construction. Assemble frames and cut glass or order insulated units. Install in new buildings, strip malls and office buildings. Load truck in the A.M. and go. Return to shop in the P,M. and finish the day. I moved back home and was employed at NAPA Auto Parts in Cottonwood for 2 years. Went back to Phoenix and did glazing and auto glass until September of 2007. In September of 2008, I obtained a Class A CDL and worked for Phillips Pet Supply until I retired in 2022. When I started I was assigned specific routes each day. Within 6 weeks I had changed the routes as to where it was more efficient. Fuel and time driving and was awarded a raise before my probationary period was over. I like to work smarter, not harder.
After I graduated Southwest Truck Driving School, I was very involved in my new job at Phillips Pet Supply. Electric pallet jacks, huge warehouse, and I drove a class B truck. I was fortunate to have routes that sent me to Northern Arizona three days a week. Saving the company money on fuel and my time on the clock after changing the routes to be more efficient resulted in making more money and respect from management.
