- Efficiently cleaned and sterilized instruments followed by wrapping them in their proper surgical packs.
- Competently place an intravenous catheters, obtain intravenous blood draws, and jugular blood draws.
- Collect and summarize patient history, prepare vaccines, cytology, and collect bloodwork for doctor's appointments.
- Capable of measuring patients and capturing accurate radiographs for diagnostics.
- Prepping patients for surgery; including preparing the surgical site, attaching monitoring equipment and organizing surgical equipment needed for surgery.
- Analyzing lab results identifying critical patients that need the doctors immediate attention.
- Experienced with emergency situations and working under immense pressure. Confidently able to triage critical patients and prepare diagnostics accordingly.
- Scrubbing into and assisting doctors in surgery. I am confident in scrubbing into complicated surgeries such as: foreign body removal, splenectomy, nephrectomy, subtotal colectomy, ruptured anterior cruciate ligament repair, bone cementoplasty, insulinoma resection, limb amputation, liver biopsy, and gastropexy procedure.
- Familiar with chemotherapy drugs and procedures. Capable in assisting in chemotherapy administration.
- Efficient in giving intravenous injections, intramuscular injections, and subcutaneous injections.
