Mikayla Morehead

People-loving and cheerful person who has extensive experience in the service industry. Has worked as a cashier, barista, physical aid, backstage crew member, physical therapy assistant, child therapy assistant, resident advisor, and animal caretaker.

I graduated from California Baptist University with a degree in Art Therapy Studies.

I recently returned from a 6 month volunteer internship in South Asia. I worked with underprivileged women as they learned practical skills and textile skills. I also managed social media marketing, helped with online events, and organized art making events for women.

• Researched, created, and presented a basic awareness training for anti-human trafficking in South Asia.

• Has received a presidential award for 100 hours of volunteer service and have since then completed more hours.

I am passionate about working with my hands and teaching others about the therapeutic benefits of art that involves the body. When I traveled to South Asia I learned textile skills and was able to learn about the benefits of fabric making, sewing, and crafting.
