• Answers phone calls if the Pharmacist I or II is not available.

• Performs narcotic counting before and after the shift.

• Attends promptly to an ADE.

• Fills the assigned Pyxis machine and resolves any discrepancies.

• Orders critical stock.

• Responsible for the prompt filling and dispensing of medication orders for both in and outpatients.

• Issues and regulates narcotic drugs.

• Provides patient counseling.

• Answers phone calls.

• Compounds extemporaneous preparations .

• Prepares skin test solutions of antibiotics.

• Replenishes stocks in DR, ER, OR, etc.

• Makes a purchase request of low leveled stocks.

• Monitors the drugs with near expiration date and makes a report of the drugs that have been expired.

• Dispenses prescription and OTC medications for the outpatients.

• Reviews and interprets drug orders for clarity, rationality, drug interactions, incompatibility, correct dosing, etc.

• Prepares and issues medicines for inpatients following the unit dose drug distribution system.

• Prepares skin test antibiotics, IV antibiotic syringes and admixes Total Parenteral Nutrition.

• Attends promptly to ADE.

• Issues and regulates narcotic drugs.

• Answers phone calls.

• Performs monthly inventory of drug supplies.

• Performs duties that may be assigned from time to time.
