I call patients back to their room and get their vital signs and blood sugar if they are diabetic. I get their height and weight. I ask the patient questions about what procedure they are having done. I prep patients if they need to be prepped. I assist nurses and Dr's when needed. I answer the phone for the secretary to take a lunch or break. I restock the rooms and make sure they are stocked with supplies we need. I stock bags of supplies for cataract patients. I take patients to pacu to have their blocks done for surgery. I transfer patients to the OR for cataract surgery on Monday and Wednesday. I setup the rooms for cataracts when needed.
