Car Wash Fundraiser Volunteer
Little Yorks Fire Department
- I did volunteer work for my EMT class like. Our own car wash of many fundraisers we did. We did them to raise money for equipment needed for the upcoming school year. What we did was wash cars at Little York's fire department station. Which they were so kind for making space for us to wash cars and if we got to hot we could go inside and cool off. During this fundraiser we were assigned different groups and we would rotate every hour or so.These groups were; one group would be going outside near the roads with poster boards to promote the car wash another, group would have to water down the cars so the third group could go in and start actually washing and scrubbing the car. The fourth group would get assigned rags to dry down the cars. And the final group was in charge of selling refreshments to the costumers while they wait for their car to be cleaned. Overall this was an awesome experience and would definitely do again this upcoming year. Recently I've joined VEX Robotics and since the school isn't paying for our competitions nor transportation we have had to come up with ideas to fundraise money for the club. We have sent up different fundraising ideas like selling chocolate in school or outside school, selling tickets for a Pokemon raffle, and we also have hosted school events for students and parents. All which I've been part of.
- Provided assistance to team members with a positive attitude.
- Used critical thinking to break down problems, evaluate solutions, and make decisions.
- Fostered positive relationships with team members and community partners to enhance fundraising efforts.
