I started working for the Appling County Sheriff's Office in December of 1985 as a jailer. I became a certified jailer in 1989. I was a jailer for eleven years. In 2000 I was promoted to Chief Jailer of the Detention Center. In 2018 I was promoted to Captain of the Detention Center. In May of 2001 I became a certified Taser Instructor. Throughout the years of being employed with the Appling County Sheriff's Office I have attended several conferences and workshops on how to operate the Detention Center better.
