  • As an intern at the Regional Resource Office in Webster, I was given many different tasks and opportunities to learn and grow.
  • I worked with the Lab Technicians in the urine analysis lab. I would check in the individual for testing on the lab computer, then I would print the label for the test tube and attach it to the tube. Once the sample was in the lab, I would put gloves on and use a dropper to put the sample in the correct test tube. Then I would scan it into the machine and then place it in the correct slot.
  • I also sat in and helped facilitate anger management and parenting courses that are held in the center. I was able to lead the classes with the course work and material.
  • I organized binders with all of our resources for people to read through and use to sign up for these resources.
  • I helped run the resource center's table at the Resource Fair in the Justice Center in Worcester. I talked with all kinds of people and explained the resource center's resources, benefits, and mission.
  • I was able to go around to different areas in town, like the police station and library, to distribute our newsletter.
  • I helped make soup for a food giveaway at the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Southbridge MA. We did almost all of the food prep and cooking for the soups.
  • I completed many daily tasks like making copies, organizing our resource table, etc.
