Pursuing my goal of a Construction/Project Manager is one step closer. I'm eager to demonstrate my ability to work with a team and be the best version of myself. My work experience at the dining hall has been great however my time spent at Denver Metal Recycling is where my love for the construction world began. Over the past few summers and 'school breaks' I was given the opportunity to work at the recycling center. Operating a forklift, preparing outbound shipments, working the scale, and driving the flatbed. All these tasks were exciting, challenging, yet rewarding. This job forced me to grow and allowed me to recognize the importance of policy, procedure, safety, and the proper management. Furthermore my experience interning with ECI allowed me to broaden my horizons and learn to operate new equipment and learn new skills, while managing myself in a similar work environment but different industry.
As an intern I got to learn the ins and outs of on site construction. How to safely operate heavy equipment, read and understand plans and specs. How to properly communicate and work with subcontractors, and fellow employees. Proper time management and preparation skills.
