I Provide food, water, and basic husbandry care for rats and mice species. I observe and monitor animals on a daily basis for health issues, floods and other things I can find. Every morning I check the trafficking report to see if we have any animals coming in. I than put in health checks to inform the PI’s all is well with the animals. I clean and sanitize the rooms Monday and Friday I clean and sanitize the vivarium everyday to make it look professional and presentable. I get shipments of animals Monday and Thursday which I house I also get shipments every Monday of animal care products in which I unload and organize in a storage room. I work with hazardous materials and chemicals while working here what I get a good rep for is how mobile I can be. I can take on my responsibilities and my coworkers responsibilities I don’t view any assignment or task a challenge for me because I don’t view it as “work” I view it as a opportunity to develop my skills in the field. You can only amount to what you know so I do my best to learn everything.
