• Gained valuable experience working with senior doctors during Medicine, Pediatrics, Emergency Medicine, and Surgery rotations, applying theoretical knowledge gained during medschool, directly into relevant work situations, whether it be history taking and examination of a patient, discussing treatment regimes or basic life support.
• Accompanied senior doctors on their daily rounds, was able to see and examine multiple cases, approximately 40 per day for 60 days in each rotation. Was able to observe and clarify the thoughts of senior doctors when it comes to arriving at a diagnosis.
• Sorted and organized doctor's orders, progress sheets, case files, investigations.
• Gained hands-on experience during Medicine and Surgery rotations, with regards to minor procedures such as Ascitic tap, Arterial blood gas sampling, Bedside debridement, Dressing of a wound. Also gained experience with regards to Basic Life Support firsthand, while working in the Emergency Medicine Department.
• Contributed to a positive team environment by working with fellow interns on a daily basis, dividing and managing the workload, and being on time with regards to presentation deadlines.

• Assisted in blood grouping, checking of blood pressure, and assessment of whether the person is compatible for donation of blood.
• Involved in counselling regarding the benefits of blood donation, awareness regarding AIDS and the process of blood donation, providing incentives to the locals in the area for the donation of blood.
• Involved in setting up of equipment at the site, maintaining disclipline and being efficient while doing the required tasks, ensuring a smooth flow of events.

Listened to talks by renowned surgeons from all over India, regarding innovations in the field of Surgery.

The talks were accompanied with videos of various procedures performed by the said surgeons, providing an in-depth insight into the step-by-step and methodical approach taken when performing a particular procedure.

• Communicated with staff members to stay informed about volunteer opportunities and events.
