Since 2001, I have been a dedicated member of the United Nations, embarking on international career in the Text and Document Processing Unit. In 2009, I transitioned to the UN Arabic Radio Unit, and subsequently, I have been serving in the UN Arabic News Unit within the Department of Global Communications, where I continue to contribute to this day.
In parallel to professional responsibilities, I have been deeply engaged in voluntary service as the President of the Arab United Nations Club since 2002. This journey has been characterized by unwavering commitment to shared mission. Progressing through various pivotal roles within the club's structure, I assumed the position of Treasurer in 2005, then Vice-President in 2011, before ultimately taking on the Chairmanship in 2015—a responsibility I have diligently discharged ever since.
During my tenure as President, the primary endeavor has been to fortify the interrelationship amongst clubs' members, other clubs' and the UN staff members, while concurrently augmenting the prominence of the Arabic culture and language within the organization. This objective has been pursued through a multifaceted approach, encompassing the orchestration of cultural seminars, lectures, the curation of comprehensive exhibitions, and the facilitation of celebratory events, particularly in commemoration of World Arabic Language Day. Furthermore, the Arab Club has spearheaded cultural excursions to Arab nations, notably Egypt, fostering cultural exchange and introduce participants to the richness of Arab culture and understanding amongst members.
Under my leadership, the Arab Club has played a central role in championing Arab culture on a global scale. Collaborative endeavors with cultural clubs affiliated with the United Nations Staff Recreation Council have underscored commitment to fostering cross-cultural dialogue and appreciation. The collective efforts of the Arab Club have significantly enriched the cultural landscape within the United Nations framework, promoting a more inclusive and diverse organizational environment.
