As a Los Angeles Police Officers with two years and a few months on patrol. I have learned several things to help and further assist me in career survival and self survival. I have learned (verbal judo) a way of speaking to people and or suspects to make them comply without using unnecessary force. I also learned the tactics in the department, in which we adopted from the military in order to prevent us from getting injured or killed on duty. I also learned several laws and municipal codes within the city or state to make arrests or give a citations.
I learned how to look for unusual and suspicious activities and persons and responding to calls for service. Adept at interrogate and communicating with victims, witnesses and suspects while providing scene security and protection for emergency services personnel.
I love working out whether its weight training or cardio, because it will help me live a happy and healthier life. Working out is especially good for my current job, due to the amount of criminals who are fit. I always think about what will happen if i do engage in a physical fight with a suspect during an arrest, I would want to make sure I am physically fit to avoid getting injured.
