  • Created a local house tour event that occurs once a month, the premise to feature houses with stories to tell whether historical, architectural, or family stories. This involves sourcing out homes, meeting monthly with partners, contracting and coordinating with homeowners for dates, number of invitees, researching the history, engaging sponsors for the event, creating events on social media platforms, setting up the ticketing, checking people in at the event, introducing the homeowner and managing the event night of. Our biggest event had over 300 attendees.

  • Hired in January 2017 by national non-profit group SCRAP USA as director to develop a small and struggling Creative Reuse center. When I started SCRAP RVA was only opened on weekends and working in the red. Over the year as director I grew SCRAP RVA into a recognizable brand with an admirable mission that is open five days a week with store hours that accommodate shoppers.
  • Worked directly with national director to create new budget and increase and track financial growth weekly and monthly. Worked with my local advisory council to maintain growth, enhance income, develop partnerships that would grow the store and mission. Coordinated with community partners for events, and as vendor at popular art, volunteer and family events. Moved it from 288 square foot studio space into a 1000 square foot storefront, closed a 1200 square foot storage warehouse, organized selling of and integrated the materials from storage into our new storefront. Grew the newsletter and social media reach by 30%. Grew retail sales from $100.00 per month to $4000.00 per month. Developed adult and child education programming/weekly children’s classes and adult classes monthly. Increased our donor base and increased donations by thousands of pounds per month.
