- This entailed obtaining knowledge and fighting for legal rights. Also, creating and maintaining documentation regarding quality of life and appropriate care.
- I built on this knowledge with my following two children who also obtained a 504 plan and an IEP. I learned multitask organizational skills in advocating and implementation.
- I was often told "we don't meet many parents who are as involved or as knowledgeable."

- My first son was diagnosed with Cyclic Vomiting syndrome (CVS). He had no less then 30 hospital visits at a variety of locations.
- I maintained continuity of care for 10 years. Including medication management, as well as implementing treatment programs.

- My second son was diagnosed with Renal tubular Acidosis (RTA) in 2008.
- I continued medical advocacy for him, both with the healthcare profession and public schools.
