Becoming a Youth Peer Advocate offers a unique opportunity to directly change young people's lives by sharing your own experiences to guide and support others that may be facing the same challenges. Possessing strong traits like active listening, empathy, communication and fostering healthy relationships, I aim to empower others and promote growth. This role directly aligns with my long-term career aspiration of receiving my master’s degree in psychology and becoming a dedicated child therapist, where I can continue to make a meaningful difference on the well-being of youth.
